About me
Welcome! My name is Tsela (pronounced Seela).
This website reflects the diversity of my artistic output.
I am a multi-faceted artist, and enjoy jumping from one media to another....so I may work on a sculpture, then a print, then jewelry, and then to graphic design, sometimes in a single day. I find switching artistic expressions keeps my work fresh and innovative.
I was born and raised in Washington, DC, and spent many hours during my youth and young adulthood in the art museums and galleries there, including the Phillips Collection, the Renwick, and the National Gallery of Art. I've also travelled to Europe, South America, and the Middle East, all of which has influenced and informed my work.
Going to art school at Washington University in St. Louis where I earned a BFA majoring in Graphic Communications sent me on the exciting path towards becoming a graphic designer. Click here to learn more about that part of my life.
